Hello and thank you for connecting with me! My name is Alyssa Shadinger and I am an Advisory Manager in the Financial Risk, Transactions, and Restructuring practice at Deloitte in Philadelphia, PA. I became involved with the NJCPA in 2011 when my college professor, Frank Thomas, nominated me for the Scholar's Institute. I owe him a big thank you for that recommendation! I ended up making new friends and landing a few interviews that led to my first full-time position just a few months later. Since then, I have enjoyed giving back to the Society as much as possible. I've volunteered to speak on panels at the Scholar's Institute and Exam Cram Sessions, written for the Exam Cram blog and other publications, present the Pay It Forward program each year, serve on the Emerging Leaders Council, and most recently I became a mentor for one of our 2015 NJCPA Scholarship recipients. I also enjoy attending events hosted by the Society from golf clinics and happy hours to the annual convention in Atlantic City. In my spare I enjoy reading, hiking, traveling, and spending time with my family.
