~ Over the last 8 years (give or take), it has been my pleasure to work with hundreds of CPAs.
I'll attempt to use this forum to show an alternative view on the profession. Using my experience with entry level to emeritus professionals, I'll aim to enlighten, encourage and support all who walk the path of the CPA. We'll see what comes of it....
First up, Confidence.
(Webster Definition) .. faith or belief that one will act in a right, proper, or effective way.
- From where I sit, I have confidence not only in the profession but in the accountants that I interact with daily.
What is most interesting to me, however, is the lack of confidence that I've noticed the CPA, him/herself not having.
Believe in yourself and others will believe in you. I understand that there are changes in law, in opinion, in creative desires, but "own it"... whatever it is that you commit to.
Confidence comes not from always being right but from not fearing to be wrong. ~Peter T. Mcintyre
