Overtime...

I returned from a week in the Outer Banks to a very busy week! The transition to P2P has everyone working extremely hard. I even brought my laptop down to the North Carolina expecting to put some hours in, but the internet connection was not secure.  Now that the training has started, we have even more work.  Thousands of people around the country are training on the new business processes for requesting, purchasing, approving, and receiving functions.  I was even given a requestor role and had to take some online and instructor led training in SAP.  But, there continue to be role mapping issue and other training issues that have kept us late at the office, pushing us into overtime.

As I said in my last blog, we were looking forward to our second annual BBQ'n for Books fundraiser.  On one of the hottest days of the summer, I was outside cooking hot dogs for people who donated books.  This was all well worth it after we raised over 600 books, well more than last year.  These books are being donated to hospitals, nursing homes and children's centers around the area.

As always, I am continuing to work on several other duties, such as the budget, running reports, and reconciling invoices.  We have another service event coming up this month, but for now my time is dedicated to the P2P transition.

I'll let you know how it goes!
