This afternoon, one of the audit senior managers organized a lunch with EY professionals who were TCNJ alumni and TCNJ student interns, and until this day, I've never felt this much pride for my college. At the table, we had a partner, senior manager, manager, two staff 2's, and six interns all who had come from the same place. I had known before from many networking events on campus that EY recruited heavily from TCNJ and that there were many successful individuals who came from the ol' Ewing grounds; however, it was different today seeing everyone at the same table. It was truly inspirational knowing that I could relate to a partner in such a way. That relationship made the idea of me reaching that same level of success extremely tangible.
I understand that the paths to success at EY are endless. However, I see that there is a commonality between a lot of us at EY: TCNJ. I can clearly see that my humble beginnings as a TCNJ student have brought me to an unbelievable place and hopefully the beginning of an amazing career!
My last day in the Iselin office will be Wednesday, and then we are off to Florida for the IILC (International Intern Leadership Conference) on the 5th. As I have been from the very beginning when I was offered the internship position in September of last year, I am extremely grateful for the opportunity that I have been given and the people I have met along the way. It has only been six weeks, but it feels like I've made a home here. Until I leave on the 5th, I am working hard to enjoy my time with the friends that I have made in the office and finish up my projects! It is game time!
