Hi everyone! Just wanted to share a little about myself with you...
I started as an intern at WithumSmith+Brown, PC in our Morristown location back in 2008 and currently hold the title Audit Supervisor. My time is spent primarily on audits of commercial clients and benefit plans. My long-term career goal is to stay in public accounting and eventually work my way up to the partner level.
I love getting involved and am part of Withum’s community outreach program, where I assist with forming teams and participating in numerous 5ks and charitable activities, including the Withum Week of Caring initiative for the Morristown office.
I joined the NJSCPA as a student member and scholarship recipient in 2008. I studied for the exam and became licensed in 2010 while obtaining my BS and MS from FDU in Madison. Once getting licensed, I wanted to further my involvement with the Society to expand my network so I joined the Young CPAs Council. I truly believe young professionals should begin establishing their networks early. Being active with the NJSCPA is a great way to meet others and form relationships that will continue to grow as our careers grow.
I became the Council Chair in June 2014 and have loved it! Since joining the Council I have been presented with such terrific opportunities and I have met wonderful people. I am surrounded by 10 other awesome accountants on the Council as well as our Society Liaisons who make my title as Chair something I hold proudly.
I have a terrific husband named Steve who is a civil engineer for Greenman Pedersen Inc., an engineering firm in Lebanon, NJ. When we are not working, we love hiking, running, wine tasting and enjoying good food!
