Lean principles originated on the factory floor at Toyota. But then they were successfully applied in offices of manufacturing companies, followed by companies and organizations in virtually all other industries, including retailers, banks, airlines, hospitals, charities, and universities, and all levels of government! So what are these Lean principles and how can they be applied to non-manufacturing environments in small as well as large companies? And what are the benefits for doing so?
