New Jersey CPA magazine is excited to announce a special section in its July/August 2011 Emerging Leaders issue: “The 30 Under 30.”
We'll spotlight the 30 NJSCPA members (Fellow members who are CPAs, or CPA Candidates who have an undergraduate degree and are working toward passing the exam and certification) who are significantly impacting the accounting profession – and we need your help. I invite you to submit a brief description of someone at your organization who will be age 29 or younger during 2011. Our selection of the 30 most influential CPAs and future CPAs under age 30 will be determined by the candidate’s involvement in at least one of these three criteria:
1. NJSCPA Volunteer Activities – Chapter, committee and interest group involvement; community outreach such as student programs and financial literacy events; and media activities such as speaking, writing or blogging.
2. Accounting Profession Activities – Activities, while not through the NJSCPA, that enhance the profession such as participating in the VITA program, holding CPE seminars, being a member of a board such as NASBA or the State Board of Accountancy.
3. Charitable Activities – Participation with civic groups, such as the Red Cross, Chamber of Commerce, Habitat for Humanity, that positively impact the community.
Please complete the application form (one form per candidate) and send to the magazine’s editor David Plaskow at dplaskow@njscpa.org. Your submission(s) is due by March 15. Selections will be announced in April.
