For the past several years, the New Jersey Society of CPAs has addressed women's financial planning issues with a day-long financial planning seminar.
Financial planning can be a challenge for anyone. Women however, for a variety of reasons, frequently face a special set of obstacles. In fact, according to a recent Prudential survey, less than 20 percent of women feel ‘very prepared’ to make wise financial decisions for themselves or their families.
This year’s interactive program, Do It Herself - A Journey to Financial Freedom, will be held on Saturday, January 29 at Caldwell College in Caldwell, New Jersey.
Topics that will be covered during the day include: smart debt and cash management; investing; budgeting on a dime; estate planning; money management across the life stages; and more.
Registration begins at 8:45 a.m., and closing remarks and prize drawings will conclude at 3:15 p.m. Preregistration cost for one person is $15; two people can register together for $20. Light breakfast and lunch are included.
