Finding a Job in Today's Accounting Job Market

Despite the recent assertions of economists that the "Great Recession" ended last year, the hiring environment remains challenging. While there's been some positive news recently from Deloitte and KPMG, no one knows when (or if) accounting hiring will return to pre-recession levels.

Not surprisingly, the NJSCPA has seen an increase in the number of members currently unemployed. One of those members recently posted a question about her frustrations with the accounting job market. Let us know if you have any suggestions for her or anyone else struggling to find work.

And if you're unemployed and asking yourself “now what?” check out the NJSCPA Members In Transition Resource Guide. It features the Society programs and services that when used in combination with each other can bolster your efforts in finding a job and hopefully speed up the process.
