I am an Accounting Manager at Gain Capital, a multinational public company that provides access to trading services, primarily related to foreign exchange products. I began my accounting career as an intern at PWC, before moving to Deloitte’s audit practice. My experience in accounting centers on financial services, SEC reporting, along with mergers and acquisitions. Graduating from Haverford College, with a degree in religion, and then from Rutgers, with a Masters in Social Work, I have social work experience in school, clinical, and community-based settings. My particular educational and professional background inform unique perspectives in my accounting career, which began with a Masters from Fairleigh Dickinson University, where I am an adjunct professor.
While at Deloitte, I joined the NJSCPA and Young CPAs to build my professional network, become a mentor, as well as experience the profession beyond work and client service. Now that I’m in industry, the NJSCPA is really my go to source for CPE, compliance tracking, and staying in tune with the profession. The Society facilitates volunteer opportunities for me also, and I really appreciate that.
